I am a multidisciplinary artist based usually in Chicago (but sometimes elsewhere) whose work explores memory, nostalgia, material culture, and the shifting relationship between personal experience and collective history. Through drawing, painting, and the use of vintage ephemera, I investigates how images and objects accumulate meaning as they move through time.
In the past, I studied arts management and business and spent more than fifteen years working within museums and cultural institutions. My professional experience marketing art to the masses, management of museums as an event and visitor space, and presenting historical collections continues to shape my artistic practice, fostering an enduring interest in the lives objects carry long after their original purpose has faded.
My practice is rooted in a fascination with ephemera, the everyday objects that quietly survive history. I am interested not only in what these artifacts reveal about the people who made and used them, but also in how future generations will interpret the visual culture we leave behind today.
